MICHAEL
BLEVINS

(owner/trainer)

Michael co-founded HPP.
MB is our resident "good at damn near everything expert."

Michael competed in the Powell 3 Sprint Triathlon and placed 3rd in his age group ( he actually placed 1st but he refused to give up his iPod and was assessed a time penalty....stubborn) This was also MB's first ever triathlon...so needless to say we were all damn proud of the effort he put forth and he represented HPP well
Official Time - -  1:27::01  (after the 4min time penalty)

CHASE EVANS  (owner/trainer)

Chase is a former nationally ranked gymnast.  His power to weight ratio is astronomical and is pound for pound probably the strongest trainer @ HPP801 (much to Michael's chagrin)

KYLIE BOYLE  (owner/trainer)

KTB has been involved in some variation of functional fitness for the last 6 years.   KTB has also spent the last 6 years in the US Special Operations Community.  He is a certified trainer from the National Council for Strength and Fitness (NCSF).   He co-founded HPP801 with Michael and Chase in the summer of 2008.

There are many experts out there who claim to have their finger on the "pulse" of fitness...and have "figured it out." The Human Body is way to complex for anyone methodology to work.  People train for specific events and focus solely on what is needed to accomplish their goals...

WE LIVE AND DIE by the words of Mike Burgener and his principle of "Yes to the 4th Power"

YES 1: Is the exercise ground based and are you standing up while performing the exercise?
YES 2: Is the exercise a free weight exercise?
YES 3: Does the exercise work multiple muscle groups and surround multiple joints?
YES 4: Is the exercise performed in an explosive manner?

If I can satisfy the requirements to "yes to the 4th power" 75% of the time, then the program and exercises I select are good functional exercises.

Challenge Your Body EVERYDAY!
Do some form of functional weight training one day and then do something completely different the next.  Keeping your body guessing is the key!  Dont form routines!  Wake-up one morning and go out and participate in a 5K, 10K, full marathon, WHATEVER...push yourself and dont quit!  Get outside...turn off your damned TV's and go work on improving the greatest tool given to you...your Body!
