CROSSFIT

Here at HPP801 we offer many available times to come in and do the prescribed WOD (Workout of the Day).  We will of course also allow for athletes wishing to train in a more sport-specific manner to come in and work on their individual needs (space permitting...)
WHAT CROSSFIT IS...

CrossFit is a great program for anyone wishing to improve their overall muscle endurance and General Physical Preparedness (GPP).

CrossFit is a great program for anyone who is new to the fitness world.  Regardless of your current fitness level there is a home for you in CrossFit.  Through proper programming and skill development anyone can be successful at this fast-growing new sport of exercise! 

CrossFit is a program that is designed to challenge the individual.  Most of the workouts are done in a group-type setting (which is beneficial because it breeds competition...which will push you even harder) however, the paramount importance is focused on individual success and improvement.


WHAT CROSSFIT IS NOT...

1.       CrossFit is beginning to develop this stigma that it is 100% output all the time.  The primary goal of CrossFit was never to DESTROY people…however as it becomes more mainstream the fundamentals and skill development seem to be falling by the wayside.

2.       CrossFit (and more importantly the infamous WOD) is not the ultimate , end-all-be-all fitness program. 

3.       CrossFit is not the answer for sport-specific  athletes.  Regardless of the sport, the athlete needs to work on specific tasks to be able to be as functional as possible for their given sport!  (no one cares what FRAN time a NFL linebacker has).

4.       CROSSFIT can be beneficial but it has to be administered appropriately and is a great system to follow for the general fitness enthusiast.
